When you use the Magic Key that you receive from the Invidia village chief, you can open the doorway to his left to enter the dungeon. You'll appear at the base of a staircase, with the dungeon stretching ahead of you.

Head forward to reach an intersection. You can go right here to find a chest that holds the Inferno Stave weapon. Then head back left and proceed as the path heads up. Veer left at the first intersection and continue advancing up toward the top of the screen, then head right when you must to reach an intersection where you can either continue right or head up. Go with the latter option, which will bring you to the top of a staircase.

Descend the stairs, then head down along the path to reach an intersection. Proceed to the right here as you keep working toward the bottom side of the screen. At the first intersection, head down (left is an almost immediate dead end) and at the second intersection, head left to find the powerful (water-based) Book of Shiva weapon in a chest. Return to the intersection you passed through a moment ago and this time head down to reach the top of yet another staircase.

At the base of those stairs, head up to reach a four-way intersection. Ahead, you'll find a switch puzzle. You can get some clues by heading to the ends of the passages that lead to the left and right. Those are:

Left passage dragon statue clue: "Left and right, the dragons must face each other, and only then will the dragon path be clear. Four dragons there be. Turn two of the dragons thrice, and turn two of the dragons once."

Right passage dragon statue clue: "The dragons come in sets of three. Turn one dragon, and his two friends will turn as well."

If you combine all of those clues, you should have the answer to your puzzle. To save you some trouble, though, the solution is as follows:

  1. Press the lower right switch once.
  2. Press the lower left switch three times.
  3. Press the upper left switch three times.
  4. Press the upper right switch once.

When you solve the puzzle as described, the ice bar at the top of the room will melt away. If you mess up, you can press the switch below the main four switches to reset the puzzle and start fresh.

Once the path is cleared of the ice, head along the passage and you will find a staircase to descend. Do so, then start up the next hallway. You'll meet the Adventurer. Save your progress with him, then continue along the passage and through the archway to reach the area boss.

Boss Battle: Ice Dragon

Your battle with this beast can prove quite challenging, thanks to his 'Ice Breath' attack. It hits all of your party members for substantial damage. Remember that the dragon is capable of attacking twice per round, generally before any of your characters get a chance to move, and it will occasionally do that with its icy breath. If that happens, you're pretty much sunk. To win, just have your black mage use his Magic Mojo move one round, then a Fira spell the next round. Repeat that process once, which should either finish off the dragon or bring it close if you have decent magic strength. If needed, you can come back with a few more fire spells as needed. Your other two characters should spend their rounds healing or attacking (preferably with the Mytheril Hammer). A party with two Black Mage characters could also work out well for you. With any luck, that'll be enough to bring you the victory.

Once you win, you'll receive the Dragon Harp, as well as the Fighter and Scholar crowns. Return to Invidia and head out to the dragon egg at the center of the village. Investigate and you'll be able to hatch the dragon. Investigate again and you will ride it to Spelvia. Then the game will return you to Urbeth.
